On 29 November we held our QLD CEO’s and MP’s Annual Dialogue at Parliament House. The event was opened by the Hon Annastacia Palaszczuk MP, Premier and Minister for the Olympics. It was an extremely powerful event with a number of senior Government representatives and over 40 Queensland CEO’s.
We were pleased to launch two documents, the first QFI’s 2021 Annual Leaders Survey – Priority Policy Reforms to Secure Queensland’s Future Prosperity.
The QFI publishes an Annual Leaders Survey, focused on Queensland’s future prosperity and containing key policy reform submissions from our member organisations and their leaders.
With the 2032 Olympics acting as a unique enabler, this year’s submissions focus on opportunities to amplify and accelerate investment and growth across both primary and emerging economic drivers, and for the benefits to be delivered to all corners of the State.
The second document is a report titled RoadMap 2022: Queensland’s New Economy – Defining a Shared Narrative for Queensland’s Long-Term Prosperity
This Report outlines QFI’s program for the coming year in contributing to the development of a shared narrative and plan for ‘Queensland’s New Economy’, including consideration of critical issues such as:
• Regional Connectivity
• Water Security
• Workforce Skills and Capability
• Defence & Aerospace
• Resources and the Energy Transition, and
• Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) practices
