A gathering including many of Queensland’s most influential leaders attended Queensland Futures Institute’s,
Annual CEOs and MPs Briefing at Parliament House on Monday 30 November.
Hon Dr. Steven Miles, Deputy Premier and Minister for State Development, Infrastructure, Local Government and Planning, opened the event and enthusiastically received the
QFI 2020 Annual Leaders Survey, a collection of CEO level thought-leadership ideas on priority policy reforms necessary to ensure Queensland’s long term economic prosperity. He acknowledged the critical role the private sector will play in delivering new jobs for Queenslanders and driving the recovery effort, committing to working in close collaboration with the sector as part of his new portfolio.
QFI also introduced their latest evidence-based research report,
Better Cities, Better Regions – Enhancing Economic Development Policy, which outlines a number of key recommendations for Queensland to progress towards more targeted, efficient and effective economic development frameworks.
